Lots Of Talent For Phils At AAA

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) — For the past several years, the Phillies’ AAA team has been an older squad, featuring a roster filled with former major leaguers looking for another shot and long-time veteran minor leaguers.

However, that is not the situation this year, as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs are playing host to several of the Phillies top prospects including 3B Cody Asche, OF Darin Ruf, C Tommy Joseph and LHP Adam Morgan to name a few.

Also, OF Delmon Young has spent the past few games with the IronPigs as he continues his injury rehabilitation assignment.

KYW’s Matt Leon spoke with Matt Provence, the radio voice of the IronPigs, about Young’s progress, the progress of the aforementioned prospects and some other young players.
